Homeless Coalition Meeting Notes for June

Thursday, June 21st Meeting Notes:


  • Street Beats are available and are green this quarter.
  • Valley Healthcare System grand opening for the 1600 Fort Benning Rd. location – Friday June 22.
  • MercyMed will be having a "Prayer and Praise" celebration on July 19th to commemorate their six month anniversary of being open.

  • Valley Interfaith Promise has partnered with CARE ambulance and will be doing a CPR class on Aug 4th. The Cost will be $25. Email: for more info.
  • There is still a funding opportunity for a New Permanent Supportive Housing project that helps people experiencing homelessness with a disability in the 2012 Continuum of Care application.   If you are interested in applying or know someone who is, please contact:
  • HMIS Training is available July 11th and July 25th @ 2pm at the Homeless Resource Network. Please contact: if you will be coming or are interested in  using an HMIS system.
  • Stewart Community Home still has vacancies. Some of the qualifications are: You must be homeless, be 18 or over, and have a mental or physical disability. Please call  (706) 327-2707 or visit for more info.
