In assessing needs in the Columbus area, HRN became aware that many homeless individuals in Columbus had to make a hard choice. This choice was between working a 3rd shift job and having a shelter bed. Many who choose work were left without any place to securely store their belongings. One individual had his bag with all identification stolen as it was hid in a bush by his job.

This was the birth of the Storage Program at HRN. We provide storage space for those that need to store personal belongings such as clothes and hygiene items. Individuals can access their belongings during our normal business hours.

Many who find themselves homeless do not have proper identification to access services or obtain housing. It can be a very tedious and complex process for individuals to obtain new identification, especially when a required document is also lost or stolen.

Homeless Resource Network helps individuals and families navigate the red tape required to obtain Birth Certificates and State IDs along with miscellaneous documents that might be required to obtain housing.

If you are homeless and in need of transportation come to our office for assistance. A letter of homelessness is required from a shelter or organization that is aware of your living situation.

One of the many barriers to ending homelessness is getting to job interviews and keeping appointments due to transportation issues. Health problems can also be compounded by not being able to get transportation to and from appointments. Homeless Resource Network’s Transportation Program was designed to address that specific need of the individuals experiencing homeless in our community.

If you are homeless and in need of transportation come to our office for assistance. A letter of homelessness is required from a shelter or organization that is aware of your living situation.
